KCC BAKERY FAQ

What is KCC Bakery?

KCC Bakery is a small batch, made to order sourdough bakery. We operate through weekly pre orders, porch pickups, pop ups, farmers markets, and community events. There is no storefront. Everything is handmade, small batch, and baked intentionally.

When can I order?

Pre orders are offered every week unless a bakery closed week is pre announced, which is rare.

​

Pre orders open Saturdays at 6 PM and close Wednesdays at noon.

​

Menus and ordering links are posted on Facebook, Instagram, and our website.

​

Where and when do I pick up my order?

Porch pickup takes place near 144th and Ida in the Bennington and North Omaha area.

​

Pickup windows are typically Saturdays from 8 to 10 AM and 3 to 6 PM.

​

Pickup instructions are included with your order confirmation.

​

Do you post a schedule?

Yes. We post our monthly event and pickup schedule on Facebook, Instagram, and our website. This includes porch pickups, pop ups, farmers markets, and special events.

How does payment work?

All orders are placed and paid for online during checkout. Payment is required to confirm and secure your order.

 

Can I cancel or change my order?

Cancellations made at least 48 hours prior to pickup are eligible for a partial refund.

​

Cancellations made within 48 hours of pickup will be offered a partial credit toward a future order.

Because items are made to order, changes after orders close may be limited.

 

What happens if I miss my pickup?

We understand that things come up and we aim to remain flexible.

​

All items are baked fresh for Saturday pickups. If a pickup needs to be postponed, a new pickup time must be agreed upon by both parties. Availability cannot be guaranteed without prior communication.

 

Do you take bulk or custom orders?

Yes. Bulk orders are always available.

We regularly help with teacher and staff gifts, corporate orders, events and gatherings, holidays, and large family orders.

​

Do you offer gift orders?

Yes. We offer gift orders with custom cards, wrapping, and delivery when requested and available.

 

Do you offer delivery?

Delivery is not offered unless specifically stated and is very rare.

 

Do you partner with cafes or local businesses?

Yes. We offer cafe and local business partnerships where our items may be carried for their customers or used as a pickup location for pre orders.

 

How does the menu work?

Our menu is built around three rotating components.

The core menu includes customer favorites that are available most weeks.

​

Monthly flavors rotate each month and are announced at the beginning of the month.

​

Weekly exclusive items are limited release offerings available only during that preorder window.

​

Menus are always shared ahead of time so you know exactly what is available.

 

What ingredients do you use?

We use organic, clean, high quality ingredients whenever possible.

There are no commercial preservatives in any of our products.

​

All ingredients are listed on each package label and in the description of each item on the website ordering page.

​

If you have allergies or ingredient questions, please reach out before ordering.

 

Do you offer gluten free items?

Yes. Select gluten free items are offered and clearly labeled when available.

​

While we do our absolute best to limit cross contamination, gluten free and non gluten free items are prepared in the same kitchen.

​

Precautions we take include separate prep days, separate utensils, bowls, sheet pans, and baking gluten free items at different times of day.

​

We have many gluten free customers, including those who are highly sensitive, who have enjoyed our items safely. However, we always recommend reaching out with questions if you have concerns.

 

How long do your baked goods stay fresh?

Because our items contain no preservatives, most products are best enjoyed within 3 to 4 days.

Freezing is recommended for longer storage.

 

Can I freeze your baked goods?

Yes. Most of our items freeze very well.

What happens if weather impacts pickup?

We have never had to change a porch pickup due to weather. If it were ever necessary, pickups would be delayed and all customers would be notified by email and phone with as much advance notice as possible.

 

Do you bake everything yourselves?

Yes. Everything is baked in house by us.

All sourdough, fillings, frostings, and baked goods are handmade from scratch in small batches.

 

How do I stay in the loop?

Our email list is the best way to stay informed.

Subscribers receive notifications when weekly pre orders open, holiday ordering announcements, new menu items, and where we will be each month.

​

We are intentional with emails and do not send excessive messages. Our emails are meant to be helpful reminders and updates, not constant marketing.
